The renowned Augustiner-Bräu brewery in Munich has digitalized its business processes in logistics and production, which calls for highly available and extremely powerful IT systems. The goal was to ensure the availability of the IT services – the most essential factor for smooth operation of any business. If certain IT resources fail – for example in logistics, where many processes are digitalized – this could, in the worst case, lead to a standstill in beer shipments. What’s more, these systems must stand out through their high performance. At Augustiner, SAP applications also have to achieve rapid database growth – several hundred gigabytes within a single year.
NetApp, Fujitsu and SCHWARZ Computer Systeme were responsible for this project – three companies that Augustiner has relied on in the past. Today, Augustiner's business processes in production, logistics and management are accelerated and optimized through NetApp solutions, while Fujitsu professional services ensure that all the processes run smoothly.
“The key to our cooperation with Fujitsu, NetApp and SCHWARZ Computer Systeme is trust. The cooperation lives by that – no one is left behind. We are true partners who respect each other and view others as equals, not as mere customer numbers.”
